Sumatra beans are carefully roasted to a "second crack" and really bring out the rich soils and spices from the region. Once you have developed a palate for dark roasted coffees, Sumatra will become a staple favorite in your coffee drinking repertoire. It emits a heavenly aroma that is unmistakably "coffee" that lingers in most coffee shops. It's the smell that lures you in from the street, or draws you into the kitchen with steeping.
This is a bold flavor that lets you know you are having some serious coffee! Low acidity but a heavy body with a flavor that lingers, making it perfect to cut with heavy cream for a chilly Autumn morning or a beef tenderloin filet at dinner.
